Quadrant Scientific’s electromagnetic field generator is a key component of their DeepTrack system. It transmits a low-frequency magnetic field in a localized volume, establishing the coordinate system in which sensors are tracked. This technology is particularly useful in medical applications, allowing instruments with embedded sensors to be tracked in real time during image-guided interventions. Quadrant have a number of different topologies to enable the system to work for different procedures.
